Re-Creation

RE-KREACJA are actions in public space of a social nature that will be carried out as part of Mediations Biennale 2020. These actions are to be held in two scenes in Poznań and in Mosina between March and September 2020. The action is an attempt to cross the “event horizon”. The artists participating in the opening in Poznań in the public space are to comment on how galloping technological progress can change our lives in the near future. Can an artist change his functions and become an organizer of free time for a society that will have an excess of it? (Shortening working week). What role can social engineering play? Will “recreation” be the most important goal and task of social functioning? Finally, what will the nature of recreation be? Is recreation education? On the other hand, the second edition of the action in public space in Mosina will be an attempt to organize “recreation” understood as engaging groups of residents to implement creative educational tasks. We will try to show the educational nature of recreation understood as a positive activity.
“Recreation” is an activity in which artists will try to exceed the horizon
events, may signal the possibility of social change that it may trigger
technological development that will radically rebuild our lives. Perhaps recreation
will become the goal and challenge of mankind? Maybe recreation and education are activities that
will make our existence easier and perhaps we are now crossing the event horizon?
